Greetings

To whom it may concern:

Hi.

As you may or may not have noticed, Zurie’s spent the last few months just cleaning house up here. What you probably didn’t know was that she did so in order to help me out a bit – specifically, to give me a platform for my work for those (likely distant) days when I at last contact an agent and go seeking publication like a bird chasing a storm.

You probably have little recollection of my first post in this place, or of the many expectations I told you you could have; in fact, the odds are dramatically in favor of your never having seen this page before. That’s fine. However, I would like, once again, to tell you what you’ll come to see from me – assuming you come back.

So:

You may expect old poetry and new, and prose, of course, of myriad flavors – with a special emphasis on my pet genres, SF and fantasy. You may find words too dramatic, words that rhyme and words that don’t, tales of kings and gods and magic left to wreck the world, of worlds closed off by quarantine and operated by machines, of space habitats in need of psychiatric help, of tantrum-throwing girls and maddening thieves, of robots who shoot six-guns and of all the maddening things the world may bring to bear. You’ll find legends, men with headphones, snarky butlers and a hundred thousand zombies rising madly from the grave to renegotiate their contracts. You’ll find heroes and their antipodes, ruins left by giants, skies held up by stone, and distant, delving futures deep beneath the world we know. And, in the fullness of days, assuming always that I may achieve such things, you may find far, far more.

To you, dear visitor, I bid you warmest welcome: come, enjoy my chaos.
