Porcelain Doll: An Absammydarian
Alabaster your vision, under-glazed blue,
Cold to the touch, desperately
Eager to skin alive the hands that feel.
Gold your reflection, halted
in shadows, carved jungles
knarled and ugly, whispering loneliness.
Mauve your dream, splayed and nocturnal
Oblivious to pale pointed prophecies.
Quell your china soul, ruby-rust repository,
Slim and precocious you may be, silenced by tedious
Urns in their fool potter wheels, you are vocal,
Warily, and extraordinarily–
Your wonder is unmatched, even by rainbows and zark!
I dropped you.
